Question 1

Do I need a credit card to start?

Accepted Answer

No. The Free plan has every feature switched on with 200 free emails every month. No credit card is required to sign up.

Question 2

Do you charge for contacts?

Accepted Answer

No, never. You pay only for the emails you actually send, never for the size of your contact list. A large audience that you only email once a month stays affordable.

Question 3

Can emails come from my own domain and company name?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Simply add your domain and publish the three DNS records (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) shown in your dashboard. Once verified automatically, emails are cryptographically signed by your domain.

Question 4

Is every feature available on every plan?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Plans differ only by sending volume, team size, sending domains, and support SLA—never by feature gating. Newsletters, automations, transactional API, and templates are included on all plans.

Question 5

How does Sendflume compare to Mailchimp and SendGrid?

Accepted Answer

Mailchimp charges aggressively as your contact list grows (costing $180-$350+ for 25k contacts), while SendGrid charges separately for transactional API and marketing campaigns. Sendflume offers unified marketing and transactional email with unlimited contacts for just $29/month.

Question 6

How do I send transactional emails from my app?

Accepted Answer

Create an API key in your dashboard, then call our clean REST API, connect your existing application via our standard SMTP relay, or use our official Node.js and Python SDKs.
